Flud and Carroll Double Up while Mahaffey and Blevins Top Fields at Port City Raceway

TULSA, Okla. (Sept. 9, 2018) - Both Frank Flud and Kris Carroll doubled up on victories while Shawn Mahaffey and Jase Blevins top their respective division fields on Saturday at Port City Raceway.

Rolling from the pole in the 20-lap POWRi Outlaw class feature event there was no catching Frank Flud who added another win to his credit in the division. Brock Berreth crossed in the second spot with Chris Andrews rounding out the podium. Scott Sawyer crossed in the fourth spot with Jase Randolph rounding out the top five.

Sixth went to Curtis Jones. Seventh was KJ Snow with Cole Roberts eighth. Kaylee Bryson finished in ninth with Delaney Jost bringing up the top ten.

Randolph and Flud claimed heat wins.

Flud who also earned the pole from heat race passing points would run to another victory in the POWRi Non-Wing class. Curtis Jones who started fifth finished in second. Third went to Jace McIntosh. Jake Rosario finished in the fourth spot and Caleb Pence crossed in fifth.

Dustin Dixon picked up the sixth spot. Jake Nail claimed seventh. Cannon McIntosh was eighth with Daniel Shaffer ninth and Thad Bennett rounding out the top ten.

Issac Barr, Jones and Dixon picked up the nights three heat race wins.

Kris Carroll started his night off with a POWRi A-Class victory. Carroll started third in the 20-lap affair and would work his way up to capture the win. Frank Flud came up one spot short and settled for second. Jace McIntosh was third at the line. Brad Best finished in the fourth spot with Kevin Bayer picking up fifth.

Cole Roberts crossed in the sixth spot. Seventh went to Lane Goodman. Jake Nail finished eighth. Chase Randall ninth with Ryan Mushrush in tenth.

Best, Spencer Mason, Bayer and Jace McIntosh were the nights heat race victors with Caleb Pence picking up the B-Main win.

After starting in the second spot Kris Carroll capitalized and picked up the POWRi Sportsman victory on Saturday. Dave Nicholson was second. Third went to Jeremy Wickham. Kaimron Schoonover fourth and Bobby McIntosh fifth.

Darrius Myers finished sixth. Larry Martinez seventh. Matt Cash crossed in the eighth spot. Ryan Cody was ninth and Randy Myers tenth.

Carroll and Cody claimed the two heat race wins.

Shawn Mahaffey continued his dominance in the POWRi Restricted class on Saturday. Mahaffey started on the outside front row and used it to his advantage. Rees Moran picked up the runner up spot. Elizabeth Phillips rounded out the podium. Baron Silva crossed in fourth with Kaden Smith rounding out the top five.

Dooley Harris was sixth. Seventh was Brody McLaughlin. Ryker Pace took home eighth. Alyson Colby ninth with the top ten rounding out with Jase Mosley.

Glenn James Bratti and Phillips powered to victory in heat race competition.

Returning back to Port City Raceway, Jase Blevins bested the POWRi Junior Sprint field. Cale McGee picked up the second spot. Hayden Mabe crossed in the third spot with Ayden Parrish fourth and Elliott Thomas fifth.

Bryson Mosley ended up sixth and Brody McClelland was DQ'd.

Racing action returns to Port City Raceway on Saturday, September 15 with the Prelude to the Outlaw Nationals featuring points racing for all six classes.
